Kathy Doughty

Kathy Doughty is the owner and creative director of the innovative patchwork shop, Material Obsessions in Australia. Originally a self-taught quilter, Kathy’s eclectic style developed over decades of obsessive quilting aided by working closely with industry experts and designers. She is the co-author of international best sellers, Material Obsession One and Two and sole author of Making Quilts, Adding Layers, Mixing Quilt Elements and Organic Appliqué. Kathy, an American, now calls Australia home but enjoys frequent trips to the USA to teach in shops, events and guilds.
