Even though I now live landlocked in the Midwest, I always find myself drawn back to that salty water. Our world’s oceans are deep and confounding, hiding a million mysteries we have yet to discover. It’s this mystery that keeps me coming back to it again and again. Submerging yourself in the water, you find a whole alien planet - like ours, but different. I wanted to play with that idea. I approached this collection like a floral collection but instead of the usual land flowers we are so used to, I replaced the bouquets with sprigs of coral, anemones and seaweed. Mixed among these water florals are the shadows of sharks, colorful seahorses, tropical fish and crates with the occasional octopus tentacle for good measure. Take a dip in the deep sea and let the magical underwater world wash over you. If you look close you might even find a pearl or two!
